Our ecological commitment
In 2013, CosyCamp was created thanks to our vision and the help of a specialized architect, a botanist, and a landscaper, in a fully ecological approach. Our goal was to create a 4-star campsite in Haute-Loire, managed as an alternative project.
We regularly organize interventions by botanists and participatory workshops to protect birds and amphibians, reintroduce disappeared local varieties, and support similar initiatives in our region.
CosyCamp stands out for its uniqueness in France. Our campsite in Haute-Loire is like a large ecological and educational garden, where our guests stay amidst various cultivated spaces: permaculture vegetable gardens, aromatic and medicinal gardens, hedgerows, and red fruit orchards of Velay. We have carefully planted over 3500 plants and shrubs, and our accommodations are made from natural materials, thereby reducing their land footprint.
It is thanks to this innovative approach that our campsite in Haute-Loire, located in the south of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, was awarded in 2018 by the National Ecology Environment Trophy, awarded by the Camping Quality Label.

CosyCamp is the answer! We do not only offer unique accommodations, but we are also a true campsite. If you wish to live in the heart of nature and sleep under the stars while enjoying the comfort of a 4-star campsite in Haute-Loire, CosyCamp invites you to rediscover the art of camping, combining simplicity and comfort.
Here, no cars to intrude on your living space! Two thirds of our sites are dedicated to traditional camping for tents. We also have 9 sites of 100 m² suitable for motorhomes or caravans, as well as about ten caravan spots on Privilege sites of 200 m², located in a pedestrian area. You can set up your caravan with your car, then park your vehicle outside in the parking lot.

CosyCamp is a 4-star campsite without entertainment… but with a multitude of activities to explore! We have a 200m² heated outdoor swimming pool and a paddling pool, as well as a heated indoor wellness pool at 32° with whirlpools and counter-current swimming. You can also swim in the Loire or use a canoe provided to cross the river and hike on the other side of the bank. Children will thrive in our true little paradise, our green bubble in Haute-Loire.

At CosyCamp, our aquatic facilities are of high quality and spacious compared to our accommodation capacity. You can enjoy two heated outdoor pools, as well as a small indoor pool of 15 m², maintained at 32 °C, for swimming all year round, regardless of the weather or the season. Access to the indoor pool of our campsite in Haute-Loire is free off-season, while there is an extra charge in season when the outdoor pool is open.

At CosyCamp, our natural pool is the wild Loire! In front of our campsite is this exceptional natural site in Haute-Loire, perfect for swimming. The river widens and slows on pebble beaches, creating a calm and safe body of water at the edge of our campsite, ideal for families.
Located in a preserved and protected Natura 2000 area, its top-quality water flows slowly from the nearby source to our shores. Thanks to this gentle flow, the water warms quickly in the sun, often reaching 24 or 25 °C during the summer.
Facing the basalt peak of Artias, the water becomes deeper and the rocks turn into natural diving boards, allowing wild swimming enthusiasts to fully enjoy jumps and dives into the river during their camping holiday in Haute-Loire.

Our 4-star campsite in Haute-Loire is located just 1h40 from Lyon, nestled in the charming medieval village of Chamalières-sur-Loire by the river. You will already be immersed in the heart of the Auvergne volcanoes, making it an excellent starting point for exploring this region in the Southeast of France.
From there, you can stroll through the streets of Puy-en-Velay, follow the paths of Santiago de Compostela, climb Mont Mézenc, which rises to 1750 m in altitude, venture onto the walkway of the Gorges du Lignon, or even swim in our lakes and rivers. Try our via ferratas, discover the Abbey of La Chaise-Dieu, and explore the many medieval paths surrounding our campsite in Haute-Loire.

2nd weekend stay for us at this family campsite, very quiet, in the heart of nature, with activities nearby (hiking, canoes available for rent, zip line, bikes for rent). A swimming pool and a bar are available, and pizzas are also offered on-site. The welcome is warm, simple, with a nice awareness of ecology. The accommodations are very nice. The setting is stunning. We recommend it for a family stay, among adults, for family gatherings…

We booked a cottage at Cosy Camp for a long weekend, we discovered an enchanting setting, along the Loire and in absolute tranquility.
The concept of the place is based on ecology, trust, and sharing, which makes it unique.
It’s impossible to get bored at Cosy Camp, between walks along the river, games and activity areas available, swimming pool, etc… At the same time, a place that encourages relaxation, the pitches and rentals are spaced apart from each other, throughout the camp and along the riverbanks, where sun loungers, hammocks, cushions, and chairs await you.
The cottage is huge, extremely well-equipped and comfortable. The living area offers, in addition to games, books, a snack bar, and a nice terrace, and during the summer season, a restaurant. The welcome is the warmest, here you feel at home, but on vacation.
We will gladly return.
Cosycamp is a little corner of paradise for those looking for calm and nature. A small family campsite, without large aquatic structures, without a kids club.
Here, everyone lives at the rhythm of nature, and children are happy to live their lives independently. Not suitable for those looking for entertainment or services typical of large campsites.
